Board approves $407,300 ambulance purchase from capital reserves

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Selectmen approve $407,300 ambulance purchase from capital reserves. The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to draw the funds from the Emergency Medical Motorized Equipment Capital Reserve Fund, substantially depleting that account. Finance Administrator Kelly Heon reported the separate $8,000 Motorola equipment purchase will be funded from the operating budget.
The board also unanimously approved a $246,373 Pike Industries contract for the second phase of downtown paving work, representing approximately $335,000 in savings versus state-coordinated alternatives. Water and Sewer Supervisor Chuck Tiffany raised concerns about twin culverts near Well #6, dating to approximately 1985, which require replacement or structural lining estimated at $71,000 per pipe.
