Board approves $417,443 ambulance purchase, retains old unit

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Selectmen approve $417,443 ambulance replacement. The board unanimously approved purchase of a 2024 ambulance for $417,443.69 to replace a 2011 Chevy after 14 years of service. Assistant Fire Chief Rolly Edgerly said the Ford F-550 chassis, a leftover from another order, secured the lowest price among three bids and promises June or July delivery, compared to typical 2 to 3 years competitors require.
The board retained the current ambulance for sale rather than accept a $7,500 trade-in offer. Selectmen also unanimously approved $14,875 to repair and upgrade the Transfer Station scale.
