Board approves three variances for residential and downtown development

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Zoning Board approves three variances for Spring Street and downtown development. The board voted unanimously to allow Ryan Heath to subdivide a 1.8-acre Spring Street lot into three single-family residential parcels, replacing an earlier nine-unit multi-family proposal rejected for cost. Union Telephone Company received two unanimous variances for downtown mixed-use redevelopment: one permitting at least 1,500 square feet of commercial space on the first floor of its 7 Central Street building, and a second treating six contiguous lots split by zoning boundaries as entirely Village Center, enabling unified development of approximately 1.67 acres with roughly 52 residential units.
