Board of Selectmen Approves $13,100 Opioid Abatement Grant

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington accepts $13,100 opioid abatement grant for overdose prevention program. The Board of Selectmen unanimously (5-0) authorized expenditure of funds from Granite United Way to support a Fire Department and Welfare Department partnership for training, equipment, and community education on overdose response. The program will purchase training mannequins, naloxone kits, personal protective equipment, and automated external defibrillators.
Additionally, the board unanimously (5-0) authorized Town Clerk and Tax Collector Sam Jerome to enforce unlicensed dog registration procedures, with 393 unlicensed dogs scheduled to receive civil forfeitures by July 10.
