Budget Committee cancels July meeting, finds town budget on track

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Budget Committee finds town spending on track at 26 percent through April. Finance Administrator Kelly Heon and Town Administrator Jason Henry reported that town expenditures remain within normal ranges, with water and sewer fund balances improving significantly from prior-year deficits. The committee voted unanimously to cancel the July meeting and reconvene in August.
In other business, the committee tabled a board vacancy election to June 23 to allow absent members to participate and applicant Tom Maciel an opportunity to present his background to the board. School district Finance Coordinator Stephanie Ham reported the school fund balance stood at $3.2 million as of April 30, though audits for fiscal years 2023-24 and 2024-25 remain pending completion by month-end.
