Budget Committee · Meeting of January 28, 2026

NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Budget Committee reviewed a proposed 2026 operating budget of $9,460,308, a 7.78% increase, and voted unanimously to align revenue projections with the Selectmen's estimates. Interim Finance Administrator Kelly Heon detailed personnel expansions including a new Town Administrator hire, conversion of the Selectmen's Secretary to full-time, and additions across Finance, Police, Fire, Public Works, and Transfer Station departments. Town Clerk/Tax Collector Sam Jerome presented wage adjustments for supervisors of the checklist to $20 per hour as a catch-up measure compared to similarly-sized New Hampshire towns.

Most warrant articles, totaling over $1 million in capital reserve funding, carry no tax impact, drawn from unassigned fund balance. A public hearing is scheduled for February 10, 2026.
