NH FARMINGTON — Farmington Building Inspector goes full-time as mid-year budget review finds spending on pace. The Budget Committee's August session reviewed municipal spending through July, finding 4.59 million dollars expended from the 9.47 million dollar General Fund budget, or 48 percent. Finance Administrator Kelly Heon reported that the Building Inspector position, initially budgeted as part-time, was upgraded to full-time effective June 1, creating an expected over-budget condition.
The decision follows recognition that a part-time arrangement was insufficient for the town's needs. Welfare administration is also anticipated to over-spend as winter heating assistance demands increase.
