NH FARMINGTON — Planning Board halts subdivision plan signing over wetland compliance issues. Chairman Rick Pelkey determined he cannot sign final subdivision plans for a rear-lot split without a publicly noticed hearing to address wetland delineation and buildable-area problems identified by Director Kyle Pimental. The applicant's engineer initially stated no wetlands existed; revised plans showed wetlands throughout the site, with the required 40,000-square-foot contiguous buildable area potentially failing shape requirements.
The Board also expressed unanimous support for the Seven Rivers to the Coast regional watershed-awareness initiative, identifying five potential sites for educational signage. A letter-of-recognition program for completed projects—including 60 Charles Street, 425 Main, and 510 Central—advances by consensus.
