NH FARMINGTON — Conservation Commission engages forester to verify boundaries on conservation land. Chairman Jim Pollard reported that NH Fish & Game identified compliance issues requiring boundary verification on the town's French and Dubois conservation properties. Forester Lindsay Watkins will conduct formal boundary verification in June after an initial walk-through on May 7 revealed encroachment by an abutting property owner, who agreed to cease the unauthorized mowing.
The commission noted the town has not employed a full-time forester for six years despite requiring formal property reports every 10 years to maintain compliance with state Fish & Game requirements.
